    April Washburn

    FOUNDER/OWNER

    With over 20 years of sales and marketing experience, April has always had a passion for connecting people. In 2012 she made a career shift from the business sector over to healthcare and has never looked back. Throughout April’s life, she has observed close friends and family members struggle with mental health issues and more recently, has had to navigate familial issues around grief, loss and aging. By keeping a close eye on today’s trends in behavioral healthcare, she recognized the need for counseling services within the Senior community and is thrilled to be able to deliver high-quality behavioral healthcare to our Seniors, who deserve to be heard, recognized and supported. April holds a B.A. in Journalism and Public Relations from The University of Delaware.

    April is fiercely passionate about her husband, 2 teenagers, her dog Mojo, travel, great food and wonderful friendships. When not at work, you’ll probably find her hiking or skiing on one of Utah’s world-renowned mountain trails.

    Meghan Vickrey, LCSW

    Meghan received her Bachelors in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah in 2008. She has years of experience helping clients cope with and manage depression, anxiety, and trauma, and specializes in helping with grief, loss and chronic illness. With years working in the home health and hospice field, she understands that the alliance between therapist and client is the most important factor to positive therapeutic outcomes.

    Meghan finds peace and joy spending time in nature, traveling to new and unknown places, music and singing, and swimming and biking. She is happily married and loves spending time with her husband and four children.

  • Cheyenne Profile Picture

    Cheyenne Liang, CMHC

    Cheyenne received her Bachelors in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah in 2017. Cheyenne is a licensed clinical mental health counselor. Her background is diverse with experience in helping clients through anxiety, depression, OCD, grief and loss, and much more. Cheyenne enjoys working with clients from a positive psychology perspective and focuses on the therapeutic alliance. She enjoys working with underrepresented populations and provides a multi-cultural lens. Cheyenne practices with multiple modalities including but not limited to: ACT, trauma-informed therapy, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing. Cheyenne loves to run group therapy and the dynamics of peer to peer relationships.

    Cheyenne is native to Utah and loves the outdoors. When she’s not traveling abroad, you’ll find her hiking the trails with her 100lb bernedoodle, Mochi.

    Ehdaa Ameen, LCSW

    Ehdaa is a passionate, and empathetic therapist with extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and groups. Ehdaa received a Master’s Degree in Social work from the University of Utah in 2013. Ehdaa is specialized in treating Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, stress, relationship issues, addiction, adjustment issues, grief and loss. She uses evidence-based therapy, CBT, DBT, EMDR, Solution focus, MI and Mindfulness to assist and guide her clients throughout their therapeutic journey to reach their treatment goals and feel content with their success.

    A little more about Ehdaa, she loves to meditate, talking walks, and spending time with family and friends.

    Heather Jones, PhD, LCSW

    Hello, I’m Heather Jones. I was born in Texas and raised in the Washington, DC area. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from George Mason University, and my Master’s in Social Work and PhD in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago.

    I am a licensed clinical social worker and have over 22 years of experience working with adults, couples, and families. I take a collaborative approach to therapy and tailor approaches to fit each person’s needs, including use of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotional Freedom, and various alternative approaches.

    My areas of skill include treating depression, anxiety, personality disorders, trauma, grief, chronic pain, dementia, adults with Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD) and ADHD, caregiver stress and burnout, life transitions, including aging changes, and marital and family challenges.

    You will be supported in an open, interactive, and safe therapeutic environment, which will facilitate learning and growth. I use strategic and educational interventions to assist with internalizing and practicing skills for the betterment of your emotional health and interpersonal relationships.

    As an empathetic and seasoned therapist specializing in geriatric care, I lead transformative group sessions aimed at addressing the unique emotional needs of the elderly (or 65+) community. With a compassionate approach, I guide individuals through healing journeys focused on navigating grief and loss, fostering mindfulness, exploring the depths of dreams, expressing through art, and embracing the vitality of movement. With each session, we strive to create a nurturing environment where participants can find solace, connection, and renewed purpose on their paths toward emotional well-being and fulfillment.
